Privacy
This page says exactly what Serasi stores and who processes it. No legalese.
What we store
- Your email and a hashed password, managed by Supabase. We never see or store the password itself.
- Your profile: name, household size, diets, disliked ingredients, cuisines, and meals to plan.
- Your pantry items.
- Your meal plans and their meals, including recipe titles, images, and cost estimates.
- Your recipe ratings, thumbs up or down.
- Your grocery lists and checked-off items.
- Your scanned receipts: the store, date and total, plus the items and prices you confirmed on screen.
- Small usage counters, such as how many plans you built today. A count and a date, nothing else.
The waitlist
If you join the waitlist from the home page, Serasi stores your name, your email address, and which link you arrived from. That is all. It is used for one thing, to email you an invite when there is room, and it is never sold, shared, or added to a mailing list without asking you first.
Joining the waitlist does not create an account, so there is nothing to sign in to and nothing to delete yourself. To be taken off the list, email hello@sparrowux.com and your entry is removed.
Receipt photos
When you scan a receipt, the photo is sent to Anthropic to read what is printed on it, then discarded. We never store the photo. We keep only what you confirm on screen first: the item names, their prices, and the store, date and total. Item names you keep go to your pantry, and the prices are what your spending view is built from. We do not read or keep card numbers, payment details, or loyalty account numbers.
Who processes your data
- Supabase hosts our database and sign-in. Everything listed above lives there.
- Anthropic powers the AI features. It processes your chat messages, plan requests, food preferences, ingredient names, and your receipt photos. Anthropic's commercial terms state that data sent to its API is not used to train their models.
- Spoonacular provides recipe data. It receives search filters such as diets, ingredients to avoid, and cuisines. Your name and email are never attached.
- Vercel hosts the app. Server logs may briefly include the text of a plan request while we debug. Logs expire on a short cycle and are not kept as a dataset.
What we don't do
We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. We do not use analytics trackers.
Deleting your account
Open the Profile tab, then Account, then Delete account. This removes your profile, pantry, plans, grocery lists, ratings, and sign-in, and everything else tied to your account. There is no undo.
